Hand-Painted Viking Double Dragon Shield

This is one of the most beautiful shields that we make. It is a full-size, handmade, hand-painted Viking Shield with twin majestic red dragons painted on it. The shield measures about 28 inches in diameter, and has a reinforced trim/edging to make it much stronger and more effective in combat. The metal boss in the center is quite strong and has been polished to a mirror finish. Only the finest artist-grade paints were used in the making of this shield, and the background was carefully airbrushed to give in a nice sunburst fade effect. The main body of the shield is made of 1/2 plywood, which has been treated and stained a rich mahogany. Dual leather straps have been attached to the shield's backside, one going over the forearm and one intended to be gripped or held. A soft black fur has also been attached to provide additional comfort when holding.
