Cleaning sugilite is simple; warm soapy water will do the job. Do not use solvents, steam or ultrasonic cleaners. Over time heat, chemicals, cosmetics, and even skin oils can potentially discolor sugilite, but than again, those same things can effect most precious metals and stones, as a rule, it is best to remove jewelry before bathing, washing dishes, cleaning and swimming.
