FIRST: Artificial Satellite in Space & Space Transmission of Audio Signal Media: Recording of the actual Audio signal from Sputnik. The Sputnik satellite was launched by the Soviet Union on October 4, 1957 as part of the Soviet space program. It sent radio signals back to Earth for three weeks until its batteries died.
