Influenced by the French sculpture Niki de Saint Phalle, this was my first attempt at a person rather than an inanimate object. Pushed into this by teacher, painter and artist Ava Mcnamee, I hated every nerve-wracking step and ended up loving every minute and the end result. So much so that I had to create a male version.
