Westward Whiskey Tokaji Cask - 2025

This rare release from Westward Whiskey brings together the bold character of our American single malt and the golden opulence of Hungary’s legendary Tokaji wine. After aging for over five years in American oak, our whiskey was finished for an additional 13 months in 60-liter Tokaji casks sourced from Tokaji Oremus Winery. These casks, still fragrant with remnants of the wine, lend an unmistakable touch of candied tangerine, clove, and floral honey. Tokaji, made from botrytized grapes and revered for its balance of sweetness and acidity, layers bright fruit and spice atop Westward’s signature notes of roasted grain, creamy oak, and citrus. The Hungarian oak contributes subtle clove and butterscotch, rounding out a spirit that’s as regal as the wine once held in its casks. This is the first Tokaji cask release in Westward’s history—an elegant adventure for whiskey lovers of every kind.
