Art History Birthday Lecture & Pop Art Feature: The Van Gogh You Might Not Know & Textured Painting

At Wheelhouse our goal is to make art accessible and fun. Part of growing as an artist is learning about other artists and movements. In 2025, we are starting a monthly art history lecture, focusing on artists you should know and art events and movements that resonate today. The monthly art history lecture will feature a short presentation, discussion period and an assortment of drinks and refreshments. March 30th is Van Gogh’s birthday. To celebrate, we will be exploring Van Gogh’s works through a modern lens. We will also be combining this lecture with the monthly Pop Art Feature, where we will be learning to do textured painting!
