'OPEN SKY' original acrylic space painting

14"x18" acrylic on canvas panel Unframed I love discovering fantastic places. It's even better when some shares the sight with me. There's a special magic about stepping out of one locale and finding yourself somewhere which might be completely different.  With this painting, I initially wanted it to be a pyramid in the background, but as I worked, the painting told me it wanted to be mountains instead. One must listen to those whispered voices. I'm really glad I did. Once I put in the mountains, this painting took on a life of it's own as if I'd given it breath.  Now let's take our own step and look out at this open sky. What a fantastic day it is.
