It's modeled from the an 18th century Lady of Carmel holy medal that was part of a monks personal collection. The Miraculous Three Day Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel sparked a desire for me to learn more about Our Lady of Carmel and wow, what an amazing history is waiting to be discovered if you have never encountered her story before! The devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the oldest known devotion to the Blessed Mother and is said to go back 800 years before her birth. The inspiration for this necklace comes from a wonderful Three Day Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
