Those who wish to be part of the gremlin forces undergo intense physical training for two cycles so that they learn how to make use of their power armor to its optimum efficiency. Likewise, they are instructed in how to pilot WarMechs (both Union and otherwise) so that they can capture and commandeer enemy equipment in the field. A team of gremlins that manage to overrun a Republic machine have been known to turn it against its allies and shift the tide of a battle. As such any gremlins seen on the battlefield are often targeted early on to prevent them from even attempting to capture the enemy’s WarMechs from them.
