What magicians refer to as Aristocrats trace their history to the American Banknote Company. They only produced playing cards for a short period but were famous for their superbly intricate scrollwork. ABN sold out to the Russell Card Co. (no relation to the Russell of Russell & Morgan). Production of the ABN cards continued at the Russell Co.ä‹¢ Milltown, New Jersey plant. The Aristocrat line was introduced in approximately 1915 and was produced until the early 1980s.
