According to Craig Matthews of Blue Ribbon Flies of Yellowstone, MT, Z-Lon is a totally different product from Antron, although tyers often think they have very similar characteristics. Z-Lon holds its shape and does not mat together when wet like Antron. Nothing is better for natural looking shucks and wings on patterns like the X-Caddis.
