Wrappings Earrings with Polymer Clay

Wrappings Earrings   Layers upon layers of expression and movement until the story is told. Elements of Sterling, polymer clay and turquoise in fun festive earrings. Each piece is composed of brass layers and is hand textured.Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted from  beginning to finished product, all from scratch.      The process starts with raw metal, brass, sterling silver, copper, nickel silver and hand sawn dies. The dies are used in a hand press to cutthe metal shapes.  After the pieces are cut they are shaped and formed with planishing and forming hammers on the surface of a tree stump that has acquired useful indentations over time and use. The next step is soldering with an acetylene torch, tumbling to smooth the surface and finally finishingwith satin buffs.     John, who is  college trained, and Linda each have 60 years of experience and  perform these amazing achievements every day in their studio in Sarasota, Florida. 1 1/2" x 5/8" Sterling Silver earwires.  Sure to ins
