Cough/Congestion/Lung Tea
Purpose: Chest congestion is a result of inflamed air passages, or bronchi, in the lungs. When the bronchi in your lungs are exposed to a virus, they swell and fill with a thick fluid called mucus. This excess fluid constricts the airflow, making it difficult to breathe. When you are congested, mucus drips down from your nose into your throat and makes you cough. An individual can get postnasal drip from colds, flu, sinus infections, allergies, and other problems. Acid reflux can also cause coughing when you have heartburn, stomach acids back up into the throat, especially at night. Symptoms Include (Not Limited) - a wet, productive cough bringing up thick mucus. Chest congestion may cause you to hear or feel wheezing or crackling sounds when you inhale or exhale.
