Oliva’s history dates back to pre-Cuban War of Independence when Melanio Oliva started growing his own tobacco in 1886. The company is still family owned and operated and in the 1960’s moved to the beautiful country of Nicaragua. Since then, they have had several lines and highly rated cigars; with the Serie V Melanio receiving a 96 point rating and being named #1 Cigar of 2014 by Cigar Aficionado.Oliva came out with the Nub collection, a line of shorter cigars filled with long filler tobaccos packing a punch! Each cigar is hand rolled with delicious Nicaraguan tobaccos and comes in a variety of wrappers.A smooth Connecticut wrapper is featured in the Nub Connecticut cigar.
