Betta uberis "Kubu" is a regional variant of the Betta uberis species, a small, colorful betta fish native to blackwater swamps and forested peat swamps in Central and West Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia. It belongs to the coccina group of bettas, known for their compact size and vibrant coloration. The "Kubu" form is particularly prized by aquarists for its distinctive appearance, often featuring a prominent iridescent green lateral blotch on the body and iridescent green markings on the fin membranes.
