Mosaic Knitting Basics: Pressed Flowers Kerchief
We adore Mosaic knitting for it's simple stitch structure, color play, and project wow factor; a really fun way to take your beginner knitting skills to the next level and create a truly impressive knit accessory! Mosaic knitting is similar to working with a stranded colorwork chart but works with one color at a time, slipping stitches of the color not currently being used; a great transition from basic one-color knitting into the world fo colorwork. In this workshop you will take your basic cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off techniques to the next level and add-in the M1 increase as well as Sl St or SS (slip stitch). With just these skills you will have what you need to make the oh-so-sweet Pressed Flowers Kerchief by the amazing Amy Christoffers! This sweet little project works with two colors to create a flower edge to a bandana-style kerchief (tiny shawl). During the class you will work through starting the increase side fo the kerchief and meet one week later (after a bit of homework)
