The tree from which this oil is derived is called Baobab, the Tree of Life, Upside Down Tree, The Monkey Bread Tree, Tree of Knowledge, Koonya, and Kuka, among other names. Its botanical name is Adansonia digitata. Baobab trees, found in the savannas of Africa and India, mostly around the equator, grow up to 25 meters tall and live for several thousand years. The Baobab Tree became famous all over the world through the book The Little Prince by French writer and poet Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.From the Tree of Life, everything is used: Baobab's bark, leaves, fruit and trunk. The leaves and bark are used for cloth and rope, condiments and medicines, and are a vital food source for many local tribes, cattle, and game. The fruit contains both pulp and seeds that are eaten. The pulp can be mixed with water and made into a highly nutritious drink; the seeds of the baobab tree can be eaten alone raw, steamed, or toasted; and young leaves are eaten like asparagus or are used in salads. The Baoba
