Calathea "Medallion" (Calathea roseopicta)

Light Requirements: Calatheas generally prefer a medium, indirect sunlight, but can tolerate lower-light conditions. Watering: Allow top few inches of soil to dry out before watering again. The time frame may vary at 1 to 2 weeks, so it is best to feel the soil to see if it is still moist or not. Tips: Calatheas thrive best in high humidity. This means they can do great in terrariums, or near your shower. Otherwise, it is best to mist the leaves every few days.  A common, mild problem calatheas can have is dry, browning leaf tips—but not to worry, this just indicates that it is not getting enough humidity. This plant is pet-safe.
