Echinacea purpurea cultivars These rock stars of the prairies are undergoing a revival with lots of new cultivars appearing each year. The two I've selected are tried and true favorites and will be a great addition to a border garden. Of course, they are wonderful as cut flowers (some varieties can be quite short but these are tall enough for bouquets and vase arrangements). They are also a hit with pollinators and not only will the seed heads create visual interest and texture in the garden, but the birds will love them. Hardiness zones: zones 3-8Height: 24" - 36" Full Sun preferred Spacing: 24" (but can be a bit closer if growing for cut flowers) 3.5" Pot Varieties: Ruby Star: carmine-lavender flowers White Swan: white flowers
