Bluebeard's Wife* ☽•☾ natural perfumea l c h e m y ☽•☾Saffron powdered peaches, roses, frangipani and ylang stuck in balsamic resins. Curiosity complete. Bluebeard's wife discovers the horrors of his past marriages when she unlocks the door to a forbidden chamber. A disgusting secret collects inside: the heads of the wives he murdered. An elegy for the beauty in decomposition. Peach juice and rose water stream in sunset rivulets. A drunken smear of resins, frangipani breastmilk, and all the incense in the kingdom cannot disguise the wanton odor of ylang. Here he comes, traipsing down the saffron trail with a procession of tolu, gurjun, cinnamon balsam and nagarmotha leather. His beard glows blue against a crescent slice of peach that he chews. Vegan. At some points it has been interpreted as celebrating murder and violence against women, which is not at all what I intended, even though I do not avoid descriptions of death,
