Excellent food wine from the varietal's brisk, fruity nature WINEMAKER: Markus Niggli (Atlas Peak, Borra Vineyards) WHAT WE TASTED: This rare, single vineyard, 100% "groon" is delightful. Aromas and flavors of orange and peach, peach, peach, with a bit of herbs and mint that bumps up the volume. Some Sauv blanc expression without the grassiness - with brisk, mineral clean, not flabby finish. Medium body. We let it warm a bit before drinking to release all that goodness and weighty mouthfeel.
