Friday night 2/27 6-9:00pm     Natural Dyeing 1: Flowers and Leaves Learn to dye with a beautiful bounty of Rainbow + Yarrow marigolds! Janessa Bautista will be coming down from the Columbia River Gorge to share plants grown for the Rainbow + Yarrow product line.  Discover the art and science of natural dyeing in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners and creatives of all levels. Explore the beauty of plant-based color as we use flowers and leaves to create stunning, eco-friendly dyes for fabric. In this class, you’ll learn: The basics of natural dyeing: what it is and why it matters How to prepare natural fibers for dyeing  How to extract color from plants and common household materials Techniques for creating patterns using bundle dyeing, immersion dyeing, and more Tips for sustainable and safe dye practices at home We will be dyeing a cotton tea towel and silk scarf using folding resist techniques. You’ll leave with your beautifully dyed hand-dyed textiles, an
