Valais, Switzerland— Swiss wines in this style are just starting to hit the US, so we are very stoked to have this fresh contemporary bottle from Ilona Hunkeler, a former actor turned apricot farmer turned winemaker. Savagnin, the famous oxidative grape of Jura, is known as Heïda in the Upper Valais. High-elevation vineyards. Overripe peach and apple on the nose, with an electric, high tone palate perfuming with citrus and flowers. Unfiltered with no added sulfur.
