It could be used for jewelry, watches, cigars, keys, important letters, family keepsakes, and more.  Wood | "The boxes are constructed of select and straight-grained cherry or walnut wood.  Their shaker inspired design features hand hand-cut dovetail joinery. We use hinges of the finest solid cast and hand patinated brass, while the box bottoms are fastened with traditional cut brads for security and a classic look. They are finished with a natural tung oil and beeswax finish that is non-toxic and food safe, and the surfaces can be re-oiled and re-waxed every few years to add further protection and luster.
