MULTI-PASS KITS
What is a Multi-Pass System on a Molder? The Multi-Pass System is designed to take lighter passes on deep profiles, hardwood profiles and wide cut profiles. This eases motor tension, reduces wear and tear on knives and provides a smooth finish. How does the Multi-Pass System work? The Multi-Pass System allows the Molder head to be raised 3/16" above stock height to take a light first pass. When making the second cut, lower the head 1/16" and take another pass. Continue this operation until the desired stock height is reached. Does my Molder have Multi-Pass capabilities? Multi-Pass became a standard feature on all Molders in March 2006. Molders manufactured prior to this do not have this capability.
