The Bulova Archive Series reimagines iconic models from the brand’s history to celebrate its most memorable moments and accomplishments. On August 2, 1971, a Bulova chronograph that had been customized for space exploration by the brand’s engineers was worn on the surface of the moon during the Apollo 15 mission. The Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph reimagines that historic timepiece with updated materials and an advanced high-performance quartz movement. The 45mm case features a lug width of 20mm, and it includes a solid steel case-back and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal for maximum durability. The classic configuration for the Lunar Pilot Chronograph includes a stainless steel case fitted with a high-contrast black dial. Surrounding the dial on all of the Lunar Pilot models is a raised tachymeter scale, which works in conjunction with the centrally-mounted chronograph seconds hand to allow users to measure both speed and distance.
