Pilsen Dry Malt Extract (DME) 1 LB (Briess)

Pilsen dry malt extract (DME) makes a great base for any beer, especially Belgian beers or lagers. A little lighter in body and color than the golden light extract. 6 lb of this US Pilsner DME gives a starting gravity of approximately 1.050 in a 5 gallon batch. This is also a great base for making starters. We recommend using just under 4 oz of DME per 1000ml of starter. Briess is a highly regarded malting company located here in Wisconsin.
