Aromas of redcurrant, tobacco leaf, licorice, herbs and menthol; I would have guessed this wine had some Cabernet in it. The richest of these 2017 Alamos releases but in a distinctly European style. Boasts lovely give and generosity of texture and comes across as dry in spite of its 2.8 grams per liter of residual sugar. Finishes with nicely supported tannins and very good length. This makes the Red Blend seem a bit herbal and dry by comparison.
