Chateau Perron Lalande-de-Pomerol 2018

Beautiful deep ruby red with tints at rim showing no signs of ageing as yet. Rich, powerful and many-layered nose of red fruits, dark spice, fresh oak and cocoa. Supple, velvety palate with fine, crisply elegant tannins. Fresh lingering finish with menthol flavours. A charming, easy-to-drink wine which will go down well with any fine food Established in the mid-1600’s by the then owner of Haut Brion, the 57-acre (23-hectare) grounds of this château have been in the Massonie family for three generations. Many of the vines are 60 years old.  This is a classic, Merlot dominated blend from Lalande-de-Pomerol. This wine has the benefits of the neighbouring Pomerol wines without the price.
