Pillar Box Shiraz Reserve 2015

The 2015 Pillar Box Shiraz is alive with lifted primary aromas of blackberry, cherry and violets. The palate begins with juicy plum fruit and develops into flavors of cedar, liquorice and coffee bean. Winemaker NotesAll the fruit for this wine was sourced from various sites across the Longbottom family vineyards. The differing soil types of red loam, black loam and deep sand over limestone contribute distinct aromas, flavors and tannin structures to the wine. Pillar Box quality vineyards are harvested at optimum ripeness and kept separate for blending options. The wine is matured for 10 months using 80% French and 20% American oak. The most outstanding Shiraz blocks are blended to create the Pillar Box Shiraz.Serving HintsThis wine is a great accompaniment to a veal saltimbocca.
