Poggio Antico - Madre

The Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon were vinified and then aged separately in 500L French Tonneaux for 18 months. The varieties were blended prior to bottling, and then further aged another 4 months to achieve coherence and harmony. This expression has lots of strawberry, ripe raspberries, pomegranate and goji berry flavors. A versatile wine, this is the perfect accompaniment for grilled asparagus, salmon , spring vegetables, and goat cheese.
