Tomero Malbec 2016

In the glass, this Malbec is a deep red-purple color with blue reflections. The deep color is reflective of the aromas, intense dark stone fruit reminiscent of candied plum and dried figs is followed by chocolate and vanilla notes. A dry entry greets the palate upon the first sip, complemented by silky tannins and a juicy mouthfeel. The finish is fresh & persistent, calling for another sip. Tomero Malbec is one of the best examples I have come across of Argentina’s national wine. Made by legendary producer Carlos Pulenta of Bodega Vistalba with its low acid, lush fruitiness and spice notes this wine is simply stunning. For optimal enjoyment serve with the biggest juiciest steak you can lay your hands on.
