Caol Ila 12YR Scotch 750ML

This scotch whiskey has a name that is Gaelic. The appearance is a pale straw. On the nose it is subdued, citric fruitiness with a whiff of bath oil and dentist's mouth was. A fresh and appetising nose, with little or no trace of smoke. A little water raises almond oil and old-fashinoned oilskins with a trace of olive oil, and after a while pot pourri or scented hand-soap. On the palate is a pleasant, smooth mouth-feel with water light acidity and some salt and some salt with sweeter notes. A complex balance of primary tastes. The finish is a sweet smokiness in the lingering, slightly sour finish.
