Our Tasting Note: Fruit, spice, savory.  A medium+ ruby core and vibrant, youthful edges. The beautiful and primary aromas rise from the glass with cherry, currants, a meaty and smokey note, with mixed savory spices, peppercorns, menthol, and tobacco.  The palate is medium to full bodied, with med/med+ tannins, an energetic and lifted palate intensity that leads to a long, layered, and complex finish.92pts Wine AdvocateDrink Date: 2025 - 2030The 2022 Álvaro Loza was produced with grapes from Haro and Labastida, mostly Tempranillo with some Viura from his own vineyards, four small plots worked organically since 2019 (but still not certified until 2023), and cropped from a warm and dry vintage. It fermented with some full clusters, separated by plot. It has an expressive nose with notes of wild berries, flowers and herbs and no aromatic impact from the élevage of 16 months in used 225- and 500-liter oak barrels.
