Argyros Estate Assyrtiko 2022
$43.99 on 6+ (code: 6saves3)$46.99 regThis is a broad shouldered Assyrtiko, dense, rich, and polished, a new wine to me I was very impressed by this wine, especially after an hour how it evolved. It reminds me of a young, powerful, dry Hunter Valley Semillon from Australia.Estate Argyros has been established in 1903, but the Argyros family has been involved in wine production for decades before that. It is the largest private owner of vineyards in Santorini and the current landholdings exceed 120 ha, a vast, four-generations-long investment. Estate Argyros is widely acknowledged for its commitment to wines of fine quality. Our Tasting Note: Med+ nose that grew to more pronounced, purity, with density that hints at good agin potential and how this will evolve. Notes of Mediterranean lemons, limes, quince, chipped stones and a roundness and creamy edge from the lees aging. A broad shouldered assyrtiko on the palate, rich, polished with very good acidity under the layers of youthful fruit
