Barolo Gattera, 2019 by Fratelli Ferrero

Gattera is a hill in La Morra where Ferrero has a vineyard and where they produce 8,000 bottles of this wine per year. The Gattera Barolo is traditionally made in large oak casks to give it light oak and showcase the Nebbiolo grape 2019 was a great year for Barolo. Complex and powerful with aromas of dark cherry, rose, and tar. The palate shows firm tannins, earthy spice, and a long, elegant finish with hints of tobacco.
