Type of Wine: structured red wine for medium to long ageing. The Grapes: Sangiovese 100%, IL Ruspo means wild. Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel vats The maceration on the skins lasted about 12 days. Refining: In underground cellars, first in stainless steel vats, then in American oak barrels for 6 months, lastly in bottle. Alcohol Content: 14,5 % by vol. Colour: Deep ruby red. Bouquet: Intense, complex, reminding underwood. Taste: Spicy, rich and full body. Combinations: Strong and savory dishes such as roasts and game, red meat and hard cheeses.
