This dreamcatcher is made from genuine leather and handspun string. Leather is hard to come by in Federal prison and very expensive, A small square foot patch of leather can cost up to $40 which is usually paid for in stamps or trade for other goods. The string is made by taking apart shoelaces and hand spinning the thin strands to make a thicker string. Beads are a little easier to acquire as they can be ordered by catalogue through the recreation dept. but can still be expensive. This dreamcatcher measures 3" in diameter. The inmate that made this dreamcatcher is currently in Federal Prison.
