Certification is issued by CITES which took us years to obtain prior to importing a limited number of slabs from Southeast Asia. This species is now considered endangered and illegal to mill for furniture purposes. The tree must have fallen naturally or pose a threat to a nearby structure in order to be deemed acceptable to cut. Therefore this species is extremely rare, highly sought after and is seen as investment due to decreased worldwide supply.
