Encased Myrtle Wood Bowl with Light Blue Epoxy Resin

This beautiful, hand-crafted bowl encases a piece of Myrtle wood in a Light Blue Epoxy Resin. It was formed by completely submerging the wood with the resin in a bucket, then after it was hardened, it was put on a lathe and carved while it spun to achieve the round shape. It was carved by hand on both the outside and inside, then it was finish sanded in similar fashion: all sides had to be made to an even and consistent finish, including the rim of the bowl and the inner curvature.
