WINEMAKER'S NOTES: Romanée-St-Vivant is flirtatious; one cannot help loving it. Behind this grace resides a strength in such perfect balance that, at first, it is imperceptible. This wine displays two distinct sides - one showcasing elegance akin to Romanée-Conti, and the other more robust. It features a refined bouquet of red fruit and floral notes, with a palate that balances acidity and tannin. Its style is noted for a harmonious blend of finesse and structure, making it a versatile wine in the Domaine's stable. TASTING NOTES:  The 2022 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru was picked 7, 8 and 10 September at 39.8 hL/ha. It needs a little time to unfold in the glass. Scents of crushed iris flower commingle with predominantly red berry fruit, hints of peat and even camphor. This augurs a powerful and opulent RSV. The palate is silky smooth and rounded in texture, with what feels like slightly lower acidity than the preceding Grands-Échézeaux. It retains the veins of blue fruit that I observ
