Southern-style Huntboard (Digital Plan)

Huntboards come in many sizes but this one is modest in scale and execution. It is a very versatile piece and adaptable to one's particular needs. For example, the two larger drawers can be converted to hinged doors. The piece may be easily be extended in length and still retain elegant proportions. Modeled after huntboards found in Virginia, this one is connected with pinned mortise and tenon joints. The upper top rail is locked into the top of the legs and the sides with dovetails. Drawer fronts are surrounded by a cock bead and the lower frame is fitted with non-glued dust panels to avoid expansion/contraction issues.
