Boschkloof Chardonnay Stellenbosch 2020

This superlative Stellenbosch Chardonnay has rich aromas of Bosc pear, honeydew melon, and granite. The texture on the palate is fleshy but supported by a lively acidity. The oak is well integrated and unobtrusive. Overall expressive and enticing, a terrific food wine. Certainly more elegant and interesting than just about any other New World Chardonnay in this price range.  100% Chardonnay grown on soil consisting of primarily decomposed granite over ironstone. The grapes are hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed into 70% used French Barrique and the remainder into stainless steel. Fermented with native yeast.
