Bonsai Watercolour

I originally painted this watercolour of a Yaupon Holly for a Bonsai Convention. Bonsai are trees that are meticulously maintained to keep them in a miniature state, even as they continue to grow, sometimes to a very old age. It is traditional to keep Bonsai in tiny landscapes, but this was even more important for a painting.
