American Educational Products Flame Test and Spectroscopy Kit -

Students use nichrome wire loops on wood handles to conduct flame tests on the following elements: barium, calcium, lithium, potassium, sodium and strontium. In this way metals are introduced into the flame via a wire loop instead of being sprayed into the air. A bunsen burner is needed in addition to the materials included in the kit. Includes teacher's guide, reproducible student worksheets and enough materials for up to 50 students. Grades 7-12. Ages 12-18.
