Mitsuro Band — Flat

The flat version of our mitsuro style bands-- it lays perfectly nested against other straight edge bands and has a thinner back making it comfortable for all hand shapes. An ancient Japanese wax technique, Mitsuro Hikime was originally developed using earthen elements like pine resin and beeswax to create a stretchy wax that striates like the leaves of bamboo. Creating mitsuro requires an open mind that is flexible, agile and never overly attached to outcome, as well as steady hands that can draw out a material consistently. These rings are like little poems to the present moment.
