Don the Beachcomber
Don the Beachcomber was the original Tiki Bar and Restaurant. After prohibition was repealed in 1933, Don the Beachcomber opened with Polynesian decor - including a bamboo bar and barstools, fishing nets draped on the walls, and large colored glass fishing weights in all shades of blue and green. The drinks became well known for their cocktail umbrellas. The Restaurant was enlarged to include a rum shop, gift store, and Chinese grocery. Many say that the Mai Fair was invented there as well as the other drinks such as the Piyi, the Mississippi's Downfall, the Vicious Virgin, the Never-Say-Die, the Cobra's Fang, the Zombie, and Frank Sinatra's favorite drink the Navy Grog. 100% Cotton slouch. High-definition woven label applique. Wright and Ditson stamped leather closure with metal alloy embossed buckle. Heathered Linen undervisor.
