We offer three types of Bell Sets for Dunduns: City Style and Village Style (from Baro and Sangbarala) These iron bells are hand-pounded in Guinea by artisan blacksmiths. The unique sound features lots of overtones and a long sustain. An essential part of the djembe and dundun ensemble, they can also be used to add flavor to any percussion setup. Bells in Guinea are played with metal strikers - metal on metal - that is the African sound (not wood to metal). Sizes are listed below! Strikers are not included. We suggest a 1'' nut that can be purchased at any hardware store. Different villages and regions have their own way of making and playing bells. Bells can have different shapes, sizes, and sounds depending on where in Guinea they are from. City Style Conakry How they make them in Conakry: smaller than the Village style, more compact for the on the go City Hustle. Approximated Measurements: Dundun: 7" X 3.5" Sangban: 6" X 3" Kenkeni: 5" X 2.5" Village Style Sangbara
