So, I’ve had these fascinating dyed agate beads for a couple of years, and while I made a few into pendants and earrings, mostly they’ve just been sitting in a bead case taking up space, because I could never quite figure out what to do with them. Turns out the answer was “use ALL of them in one giant necklace” and so that’s exactly what I did on Friday. It’s not often that I let myself take an entire day just to work on one single piece, but I’d had a long and exhausting week, and I decided I was overdue for some fun, and... well, not only did I end up using all* of the agate beads, I had to rummage out even more beads to go with them. It’s mostly dyed/crackled agate, but there’s also some sodalite (that big blue one, and I’ll note that it’s unusual to see translucent sodalite) and Russian amazonite, and a chevron amethyst bead, and a rhyolite bead, and some other stuff might have snuck in too but I’m not sure anymore. *All but a few that I’ve saved to use while sizing it to its per
