Two Kinds of Storm

I was going to use this sodalite bead for something else, but then I turned it around and spotted the odd silvery sheen just below the surface on several facets. It reminds me a lot of the silvery flash in larvikite so I paired it with that and then added tiny beads of iolite and labradorite at the bottom. A really unique stone! The silvery flash in the sodalite actually shows up a little better in the photos than it does in real life - it’s very hard to accurately photograph this piece. The last photo shows it flipped over to give you a better sense of what color the sodalite is when it isn’t displaying the silvery flash.
